Dr. Jackson was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force in 2002 through the Health Profession Scholarship Program. After graduating in 2004 from Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine, he was stationed at Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea. Dr. Jackson would go on to various assignments in St. Louis, Germany, San Antonio and Kansas City. In addition to practicing clinical dentistry, Dr. Jackson commanded the dental clinic at Whiteman Air Force Base (AFB) where his team was awarded clinic of the year. As a member of Whiteman AFB's Medical Executive Committee, he was responsible for the implementation and oversight for the Air Force's Medical Service Platform Initiative, Trusted Care. Dr. Jackson retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and joined the faculty team at The Ohio State University's College of Dentistry in 2022.
