National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program (NHSC)

The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program is a program that provides loan repayment assistance to licensed primary care medical, dental, and mental and behavioral health providers who serve in communities with limited access to health care. The application process can be lengthy, therefore, applicants are encouraged to apply early. 

Ohio Dentist Loan Repayment Program

The Ohio Dentist Loan Repayment Program aims to improve oral health in dental health resource shortage areas. This program works with dentists that practice in areas of Ohio designated as having a dental professional shortage. ODLRP dentists receive repayment for dental student loan debt at pre-determined amounts agreed upon in their individual contracts. 

NIH Loan Repayment Programs

The NIH Loan Repayment Programs (LRPs) are a set of programs established by Congress and designed to recruit and retain highly qualified health professionals into biomedical or biobehavioral research careers. The LRPs counteract financial pressures by helping repay a researcher's qualified educational debt in return for a commitment to engage in NIH mission-relevant research.

Military Loan Repayment Programs

Air Force Active Duty Health Professions Loan Repayment Program

The purpose of the Air Force Active Duty Health Professions Loan Repayment Program (ADHPLRP) is to provide a direct accession incentive to maintain adequate numbers of commissioned officers of the armed forces on active duty, who are qualified in various health specialties. ADHPLRP participants receive repayment of loans used to finance health profession education. 

Army Healthcare Professionals Loan Repayment Program

As a general dentist, comprehensive dentist, prosthodontist or oral surgeon, you can receive assistance to repay your dental school loans. HPLR participants may be eligible to participate in other incentive programs.

Navy ​Health Professions Loan Repayment Program

If you are a medical, dental, clinical psychology, nursing or optometry student, resident, or a practicing professional you can participate in  in the Health Professions Scholarship Program (HPSP) or Financial Assistance Program (FAP).
