The Ohio State University's Dental Hygiene Baccalaureate Degree Completion Program is a flexible, online course of study that leads to a Bachelor of Science degree.
This program is designed for licensed dental hygienists who hold an associate degree or certificate in dental hygiene from a CODA-accredited dental hygiene program. The program provides an opportunity for students to participate in a stimulating and educational environment that combines the general education aspects of a baccalaureate degree with advanced education in dental hygiene.

Applicants must be graduates of a CODA accredited dental hygiene program, have a cumulative grade point average and dental hygiene program grade point average of 2.70 or higher and be licensed or eligible for an Ohio license to practice dental hygiene. Completion of a college mathematics course at the level of OSU Math 1116 or higher, Stats 1350 or higher with a grade of C- or above prior to program entry.

The Dental Hygiene RDH-BS Baccalaureate Degree Completion Program admits students for autumn, spring and summer semester. Completed applications, including transcripts and letters of recommendation are due two months prior to desired term of enrollment.

Admission is selective. Prospective students should submit their completed application, transcripts of all college work, and two letters of recommendation. For current students and recent graduates, one letter should be from the director of the dental hygiene program and the second can be from the clinical supervisor, a faculty member, or a dentist employer; applicants who have been in practice for more than a year can submit two letters from employers or colleagues. Students who are completing an associate degree program in the current spring semester may submit final transcripts after the May 15 deadline as they become available.

Tuition and fees vary by number of credit hours per semester and campus of enrollment. Dental hygiene courses are offered in distance format from the Columbus campus and Columbus fees are assessed.
