Dental faculty and students

Institutional Development

The College of Dentistry models The Ohio State University's shared values through our daily practices and programs. Specific efforts include recruitment, retention, and success programs, supporting faculty and staff initiatives, and working with campus and community stakeholders.

As the premier land grant institution in Ohio and Ohio's only state-supported dental school, our college's responsibilities extend to all four corners of the state. Our institutional development efforts reflect the land-grant university's tripartite mission (teaching, research, and engagement). Research suggests greater productivity in environments where students, faculty, and staff feel a sense of belonging. Since our individual social, economic, and cultural identities shape and influence our experiences and drive our perspectives, we must engage in meaningful ways to continue to learn from each other.
